Thoughts on LE Presentation Project
I think everyone can agree with me that group projects are not really their cup of tea. In grade school it was a fun way to work with your classmates/best-friends that you have known since pre-k. In high-school it was a good easy project, yet your older and it can still get annoying because a lot of students are lazy. However, in college I don't really prefer it because I enjoy doing assignments on my schedule and that's usually right away. I like starting on my assignments as soon as my classes for the day are over, just because I like getting everything out the way. It saves me a lot of stress and worrying. However... I don't really mind this project because it's a nice break from your typical 3-5 page paper. I sometimes forget that there are other ways to present a paper other than just typing it out. The topic of this paper was a bit confusing for me just because I feel like I should be giving more information but at the same time it seems like I am covering everything on my specific topic.
My topic for the project is basic written reports. Through researching I actually learned a lot. I discovered that abbreviations should not be used in reports because what PU stands for you might be different to another officer. It only takes a few seconds to spell out the whole word, it just makes things much simpler. It is very important to proof read your report because it is very embarrassing to misspell your fellow co-worker's name, and just embarrassing for yourself if you don't know basic grammar. Another important factor is to keep it straight to the point, do not have your reader searching for any information. A written report might be your only introduction to very noble people so make sure to do it precise. My group is great, we all interacted on what we needed to do and if there was any confusion just to reach out to any of us. I truly believe we will be just fine to present on Monday.... and if not Monday definitely Wednesday!
